My role in this venture was multifaceted, encompassing the development and successful launch of the Ivericos website. Starting with a detailed Figma design provided by Rich, I embarked on the task of building the website from scratch, leveraging the capabilities of Next.js to bring the design to life. This process involved not just technical proficiency but also a deep understanding of the brand's ethos and aesthetic vision. Working in close collaboration with Moni, the company owner, was a pivotal aspect of the project, ensuring that every facet of the website resonated with Ivericos' mission and values. My involvement extended beyond mere development; it was about creating a digital platform that truly encapsulates the spirit of Ivericos - innovative, vibrant, and deeply rooted in Spanish culinary traditions.

The Sereen health radar is a home device that uses radar technology to track and monitor the vital signs of individuals in a household. It can be placed in the bedroom or living room and works at a distance, detecting vitals through clothing without the need for physical contact or wearables. The device includes a sensor that tracks heart rate, breathing, movement, and sleep, and an accompanying app that provides a constant stream of health information to caregivers and allows dependents to track their own vitals. If the device detects an unusual health condition or a fall, it will send an alert through the app and, if necessary, automatically contact the Care Team, a group of phone operators who can contact emergency services in the case of an urgent emergency. The Sereen health radar is a privacy-conscious, contactless alternative to assisted living.

 A single page website, developed to effectively promote Sereen's cutting-edge consumer healthcare technology product.

To build a custom website for the Sereen health radar using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Using the design created in Figma by Rich, I brought the website to life with custom animations using GreenSock (GSAP.js). To ensure the production version of the website was optimized, I used webpack to compile and build it. The website also includes a custom-built form using Formspree to handle form submissions, allowing users to easily submit their information and contact the company. Overall, my work resulted in a professional and functional website that effectively promotes the Sereen health radar and its features.

Whenever I decide to learn a new technology I always find it easier to clone a real world application and for this learning project I went with the amazing web app Coolors. The two main technologies I picked for this project was Next.js v13 (with the new app directory) and Supabase for the database and authentication. With the combination of Supabase and the features from Nextjs, I was able to build about 80% of this project with server side components, utilizing the new routing system, data fetching and even parts of the user authentication are server side.

I have learned a ton about Nextjs and Supabase from this project and I plan to continue this clone project and build out more aspects, like integrating Stripe for the subscription modal and more of the user dashboard.

Outside is a design and technology studio based in Kathmandu, Nepal that works with purpose-driven companies and organizations to provide strategy, design, and technology solutions. The company also re-invests its profits into local community initiatives. Key projects include the design and development of the Gen E environmental fintech app, site design for the closed-loop fashion brand For Days, brand and site creation for the low-impact apparel brand Nui Organics. In addition to these projects, Outside also offers a range of capabilities in web, brand, app, product, print, and social media for launching and growing brands and products.

A sleek & modern agency website for Outside – a design and technology studio based in Kathmandu, Nepal. 

I worked with Outside's lead designer, Rich, to develop a custom static website that uses custom animations to engage and interact with the end user. To optimize page load time, I integrated a loading screen, deferred auto playing videos on mobile devices and used webpack to compile the site. The resulting production build is a fast, clean, and responsive website.

I love learning to code by building real life projects, SharePic is a web app using the MERN (MonogoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) tech stack. Inspired by all the social media apps out there, Sharepic demonstrates some basic CRUD functions like user login/registration, friends list add/remove, post creation, image uploads and profile editing to name a few. SharePic is fully responsive and of course I had to add in a light/dark mode feature. For this app I decided to deploy on render.com, which provides a great alternative to Heroku, with easy deployment for a MERN stack app.

SurTide is a demonstration website that demonstrates the capabilities of utilizing Next.js for frontend development, Headless Shopify for product management and ordering, and Headless CMS powered by GraphCMS. This project served as a valuable learning opportunity for me, as I gained expertise in utilizing Shopify APIs, managing React state for a dynamic shopping cart, and understanding the intricacies of GraphCMS to create fast and adaptable content. The demo site is hosted on Vercel, taking advantage of its powerful features for optimal performance. This project is not an official e-commerce store but a demo website to showcase the power of Next.js and Shopify integration.

Signature, a React application that enables people to easily create polished email signatures using customizable templates. As my first learning project utilizing React.js, I wanted to venture beyond the standard calculator or to-do list applications and was inspired by HubSpot to create a unique email signature generator. I have made the repository publicly available as a means of showcasing my personal development in React and to provide a useful tool for others. The application is free to use and I invite you to explore its capabilities and possibly create your next email signature with Signature.
